Gorilla Trekking Safaris
Gorilla Trekking in Rwanda is one of the most prominent safari Holiday activities carried out due to the numbers of travelers that transfer to the prominent Volcanoes National Park to experience encounters with the giant apes in their thick natural forest vegetated habitat. The experience involves transferring from one point to another in the green vegetation searching for the incredible apes and this may take 3-5 hours depending on the current location of the Gorillas at the time. Chimpanzee Tracking Safaris
In Rwanda, other than the Gorillas of Volcanoes National park, one can also track the amazing chimpanzees of Nyungwe Forest while on Holiday in Rwanda. These live in communities of 20- 30 individuals and also have the hierarchical way of living where an Alpha Male leads the group and is followed by adult females then young Chimpanzees which are followed by the juveniles.
Chimpanzee tracking also involves transferring through thick forest vegetation for a period of 2-4 hours depending on where they are currently located and once you meet them, you are allowed only an hour to spend in their presence by taking photos, making videos to keep for memories about your chimpanzee Adventure. The Chimpanzee Tracking Permit costs US $90 per person tracking the chimpanzees in the thick forest habitat.
