							Safety-driving Tips in Kigali Rwanda
- Driving and Traffic transfers on the right side of the road.
 - 18 years and above adults are allowed to drive in specifications A and B and above 20 years in C, D, E, and F.
 - Don’t drive when drunk for when found, you will be fined and jailed for 24 hours.
 - If you are transferring on a motor cycle, you MUST wear a Helmet.
 - Wear seat belts while driving to the destination of your choice for when caught by traffic officers you will be penalized.
 - If your Vehicle is in the traffic circle, you have the right-of-way.
 - You MUST have Third-party insurance while driving in Rwanda.
 - In Towns, the speed limit is 40 km/h (25 mph) where as in provinces it is 60 km/h (37 mph).
 - You are not allowed to use cell phones while driving unless your phone is equipped with a hands free kit.
 - In case of any emergencies, the police phone number you can call is 112.
 - Your International driving permit can be allowed to be used for 1 year driving in Rwanda. After the period the international visitor should apply for a Rwandan driver license.
 - Police has the right to stop and check the vehicle as well as the luggage.
 - In order to avoid any inconveniences while transferring to your destination in Rwanda, ensure to carry your driver’s license /International driving permit, vehicle registration documents as well as car insurance certificates.
